James Buchanan is a versatile Guitarist, accomplished in many genres including Jazz, Rock, Funk, Pop and Blues. Since completing his HSC in 2004 he has studied Contempory music locally attaining an Advanced Diploma of Music and developed a strong standing in the music community as a live and recording musician.
Performing in many groups over the last few years, including professional covers bands and original acts that have placed highly in State wide competitions and supported popular Australian bands such as Thirsty Merc, The Angels and Rose Tattoo. James joined the Orange Regional Conservatorium in 2007 as the Contemporary Guitar Tutor and has become heavily involved in teaching and performance roles. Including many of the ORC’s outreach programs with local schools and Mental Health organisations. |
