Since 1999, the Orange Regional Conservatorium has been operating as the Community Music Resource for our region.
From modest beginnings, as a response to the community’s desire for locally-based, quality instrumental and vocal tuition, the organisation has developed into a comprehensive centre of music education excellence; accessible to all, providing music education and performance opportunities to the central west and beyond.
Audience development, employment opportunities, collaboration with other community and cultural organisations, and a conduit to tertiary music education for those students wishing to take their music-making further, add to the value proposition of the ORC.
Conservatorium programs encompass learning and performing opportunities from early childhood, through school-age, to adult beginners and professional development.
Our ensembles program is the most comprehensive in the west, and our schools support program reaches from those in the immediate Orange district to far into the outback of NSW.
